Common questions about this service
What's the difference between a bridge facility and a term loan?
A bridge facility is generally designed to address a temporary funding requirement between identified events, with repayment expected from a specified transaction or financing event. A term loan is generally structured for repayment over an agreed period through the borrower's available cash flows. The appropriate structure depends on the transaction and the financing institution's assessment.
Can a government work order or receivable support financing?
It may be considered by some financing institutions, depending on the nature of the contract, issuing authority or counterparty, payment terms, assignment possibilities, documentation, enforceability and other risk factors. Acceptance of a work order or receivable as security is determined solely by the relevant lender or investor.
How quickly can structured or alternative financing move?
There is no fixed or guaranteed timeline. Processing time depends on the completeness of documentation, complexity of the transaction, due diligence, valuation where applicable, legal review, security arrangements and the internal process of the relevant lender or investor.
Is alternative or private financing more expensive than conventional bank finance?
Pricing varies significantly between transactions. Alternative financing may involve different pricing, fees, security requirements or repayment conditions from a conventional bank facility. The relevant lender or investor determines the applicable commercial terms after reviewing the transaction.
